Clearly you worded your question very poorly (“Should people who make violent statements get Connolly or Jones verdicts, in your opinion?”) as I pointed out that the question as it was written was factually inaccurate because one of the parties that you mentioned was not tried and therefore did not receive a verdict. Since both parties incited others to violence in their own ways they should have been treated equally in the eyes of the law. It is quite clear that one of them received bad legal advice based upon what appears to have been a false assumption and the other managed to evade the law under a legal pretext. If one committed an offense that warranted 31 months in prison then it would seem, from that precedent, so did the other.
“The Crown Prosecution Service has authorised Northamptonshire Police to charge Lucy Connolly, 41, with publishing material intending to stir up racial hatred, contrary to Section 19 of the Public Order Act 1986. “The Crown Prosecution Service has authorised the Metropolitan Police to charge Ricky Jones, 57, with one count of encouraging violent disorder.” Two different charges, two different pleadings, two different outcomes. TWO TIER JUSTICE
“Jones was filmed addressing a crowd in Walthamstow on Wednesday 7 August during which he appeared to make remarks and a gesture to encourage others to act violently towards far-right protestors." In which "he appeared to". The jury came to the conclusion (after seeing and hearing ALL the evidence) that he was in fact talking about the NF, not the protestors. If anyone else needs this explained I have some crayons, as long as you promise not to eat them.
Do immigrants not commit real crimes, then? That's a relief. I thought some of them were here breaking the law.
Edit, were. A lot have had to come back cos of Brexit so they are breaking our laws now. Bloody ex pats coming over here rant rant rant!
They should be deported forthwith. Let us deal with our miscreants. Then we could empty our clinks of the 10k foreigners. Sorted.
Your previous post. Apparently migrants commit 'imaginary' crimes. Release the 10k currently doing stir, I say.
I didn't say they ONLY commit imaginary crimes, the post was a reference to crimes that never occurred in the first place that have been blamed on immigrants.
