I’ll just say Weapons of mass destruction. That man sent his army to the Middle East on a lie. And young men needlessly died there because of it. And that includes every party. I thought Johnson, Sunak et all were useless and so far I think the same can be said for Starmer. You could say that’s in the past, but the ramifications of that war are still being felt today. Like you I don’t know what the answer is, if there even is one. The world is a very different one to the one I certainly grew up in….I don’t know how old you are, but I belong to Generation X and grew up in a different time to now. I worry about the world our children are going to inherit. I’ll wholeheartedly agree with you that the bar has been set low when it comes to competent government in the UK and the western world over the last few years. So I’ll just say that at present I don’t think Starmer is doing a good job but he’s still got time to convince me. If the country is still screwed in 10 years then I’ll say “told you so”
