I like that they also went ahead in the shoot out after Vitinha missed but still lost. Extra Spursy.

I liked that one player from each team did one of those silly, stuttering runs when taking a penalty and then they both missed the target completely. Quality.

Who obviously learned the technique by watching Sir Rickie!

Hmm, Rickie never bothered with any nonsense in the run up, he just stepped up and leathered it!

I actually agree with Rooney here

    T
om Brady is an arrogant prick and NFL & Football are two different disciplines. You can moan about Rooney's physical appearance, managerial know how etc, but you don't get to be Man Utd & England's all time top scorer by having a bad work ethic. Maybe Brady should realize he may know NFL, but you don't question the work ethic of one of football's greats (love him or hate him it is true) as he didn't get where he was by being a lazy twat.

The only thing I disagreed about in what Rooney said, was how he said he walked into Birmingham and they were a mess. Mate, they were 6th in the table <laugh>

A bit of defence to Rooney, he took over in early October. So around 9 games had been played. Teams are generally bunched together at that point, especially in the mid table positions

Don’t get me wrong, he didn’t do a good job but feel the context works against him.

The Rooney management issue is typical of so many England internationals who have failed at management. It is interesting as to why ability and knowledge as a player does not equate to the same when it comes to management.

In my opinion , you can see how Rooney might not inspire as dressing room. I believe he is not particularly intelligent and the fact that much of his private life has been lived in the media spotlight probably makes players believe they understand him.

I do respect him to some degree and admire his desire to learn his trade. I believe he is genuinely interested in management but probably needs to retrain and understand management techniques. I do not feel he is finished as manager and Brady's comments are unreasonable. Rooney battled hard with Derby. It can still come good for him in management but maybe he needs a decent coach alongside him and management of anything but a crisis club.

When UEFA closed the stand where Legia Warsaw's ultra fans are usually based they moved and came up with an interesting response! <laugh>

Great start for the Southampton teams, Saints, Sholing and Totton are all unbeaten and the latter two top their respective leagues.

A bit of a misunderstanding between Rangers’ CBs, with both leaving the ball for each other and the Club Brugge player having a free run and a chip over the keeper who is on the edge of the penalty box.
