On the plus side Gabriel and Saliba won't make that many mistakes again in the second half. I hope Arteta has a word with White and Calafiori about not leaving the defence soo exposed. Martinelli and Saka been poor, particularly Martinelli. Odegaards been good though.
Na the last Attack Martienlli needed to peel off to create space for a through ball. Odegaards been one of our better players

He played poorly. Can’t make excuses. He had several moments where the ball was played up to him or he had it wider and did nothing with it. His hold up play didn’t look impressive.
He had a poor game granted. But we're still integrating him into this team. As well as him finding out how we play and matching our style, we need to find ways to bring out the best in him too. I guess we all wanted the fairytale start with him scoring, but these things often take time. Especially with players coming in from a different league.
Another player I was not impressed with today was Zubimendi. Got over run and didn't look composed. He is going to have to learn that the PL is not the Spanish league. He simply won;t have the time on the ball he is used to.
This is one area of the game that refs can have a HUGE impact and it rarely gets a focus - when they allow one team to charge through the back of players and bundle them over, and don't allow the other team to do it. It has a massive impact on possession. That is what the ref did today.
Yeah we got bundled over, held back loads of times today and the ref just waved play on. But pulled us up when we did it to Utd.
It's funny how the media hate us.. When we win like this they all wanna talk about how we didn't attack well. Attacking players get criticsed. Liverpool showed a lot going forward but nobody's calling their defence bad.. they leaked two against Bournemouth and it could easily have been 4-5. Chelsea don't score against Palace .. where's the attack on Palmer, Delap etc?
