Granit is gonna be the heart of this growth. It surprises me not one bit that a) he lead this and b) Nordi listened. GX34, El Capitano. ‘the man who wins, is the man who believes he can’
Just driven back from Edinburgh, from the match, and made the mistake of listening to Radio 5, just f*ck off. They start off discussing the top four clubs as you'd imagine, fair enough. They have the 'top football journalist', John Cross, analysing the Premier League. At the end the pundits manage to spare a few minutes for the promoted three teams. John Cross spends 30 seconds saying he thinks Sunderland will go down because he doesn't know half the players we've brought in, why the f*ck not? He then goes on to say he thinks Leeds will stay up based entirely on the fact his Gran was from Leeds. I won't make the mistake of listening to these clowns again ... ... it may as well be called 'The Liverpool, Arsenal, City and Chelsea show'
I'm sure i read that the club weren't allowed to do Access All Areas due to premier league rules. May be wrong.
Everyone is slagging Shearer off for the way he acted on motd last night. What happened, i didn't see it?
It was said last season that one of the big contributing factors on the points difference between us and Burnley was the difference between the two keepers. Swap them around and it's a much narrower gap, maybe even places exchanged. There were no games last season that Trafford cost Burnley points, yet I can think of four games for us straight off the top of my head (Plymouth home and away, Hull home, Leeds away) where Patterson cost us points, possibly as many as 11 points in those games. There are probably more if I set my mind to it. Add in that Burnleys defence were confident in having Trafford there, while at the same time especially in the second half of the season our defence looked jittery with Patterson behind them. How many points were dropped by us through mistakes due to lack of confidence in him? It's not that Patterson isn't a good shot stopper, he is as you say, but those other areas of his game let him down and we can't afford for those weaknesses to be exploited. If he can work on and improve them, then he could be a very good keeper, it's up to him to see if he can do it.
Very true ... ... great pass, excellent run and a confident finish from Isidor though. The keeper was left stranded and couldn't have expected a shot from so far out, the defenders didn't help by blocking his view tbf.
The Roefs, the Roefs, the Roefs is on fire!? Must have been suggested a hundred times before like, surely
Really feels like everything is just going our way at the moment, doesn't it? We miss out on our 1st and 2nd choice GK targets? Turns out our 3rd choice was the best of the lot... It's written in the stars, I'm telling ya!
A lot of people are writing us off because we scrapped through the play offs or finished 24 points behind them two or “doing an Ipswich”. It’s such a lazy arguement when the team is a different beast since may. Aye we probably will struggle and might go down, hope they contribute to write us off
I think Palace away is a tough game. If we're still unbeaten after that, I'll be delighted. Important we keep our feet firmly on the ground next week. If we play like we can, we'll be 6 points clear of Burnley already. Underestimate them and we'll be level on points. 6 points out of 6 and confidence will be soaring, with a winnable home game in front of our marvellous fans to come. I'd love us to emulate the start we had last season. We have the players to do it, but they'll need to keep their performance levels the same as yesterday.
We go well there though. Even when we been ****e we’ve had results there. They a quality side though for sure.
