Someone said, but Downes did have a good game too. Good to see.

Fair result. Entertaining first half after we lost our first twenty minutes nervousness and grew into the game. Quarshie a lot more solid in the second half. Thought Armstrong worked hard for the team and we were worse when he went off. Good game by Jay, but stand out player on both teams was Fernandes, ridiculously good for this level. Overall something to build on and stopped a rival getting 3 points at home

Agree, but not playing well and getting results is a good sign. Wrexham will be a midtable side and Ipswich autos so happy with the results and hope performances will come.

Lincs take your anti depressants ffs. I've just watched a good game of football you're just looking for anything to moan about.
Your humour is better than you're posting.

I'm with you. Played two tricky games; The momentum that is Wrexham and the title favorites. To come out unbeaten after that without clicking really is promising*

*If you happy clap a lot ;)

Not sure what a good performance is if it doesn’t equate getting a point away at Ipswich <laugh>

No, we need to be immediately brilliant, and all our signings should be fully integrated and world class within three minutes of their first game, or they’re ****.

Good performance and good point. Plenty of positives to take from that

Decent start to season….especially when you consider last seasons points total. A win and a draw…plus a win in the cup. I’ll settle for that. Suddenly becoming Real Madrid can happen another day.

I don’t know who this Jack Stephens lad we picked up on a 3 year contract is. Phenomenal player. Wish we had gone for 4!

    1-1.

Happy with that, to be honest.

Quarshie is 6'5, athletic and quick, things you can't teach. I imagine Stills preferred pairing in a back four is Harwood-Bellis and Stephens, and let Quarshie develop. He's not been great at times, but he's shown glimpses of why they bought him.

A really good point away to the favourites to win the league and we did it with a very disjointed back 3.
Quarshie is raw, has issues with his passing but is only 21 and has, now, only played 3 times in the country.
THB, hopefully, is just rusty and will improve with better fitness.
Jack was the better of the three but still made mistakes.
Hopefully it will improve over the next few weeks and when we have a settled team.

I thought Matty was easily the class act on the pitch (no surprise!). We were very disjointed after he went off.

THB had a much better second half. I didn't mind his poor first half because hopefully it means no other side comes in and takes him!

Quarshie right now is too raw. That doesn't necessarily mean that he's a poor signing or won't contribute to our season. But right now, given that we're hardly short on CB options, I don't see a need for him to be starting.

I still can't decide which of our three LBs I'd like us to offload!

Wouldn’t say the performance was that good. Still pretty sloppy with the ball and a fair few dodgy moments, but Ipswich weren’t all that either. I’d expect both sides to get better as it goes on so happy we got this game out the way and got a point.

If we played a back 4, a settled back 4, with the extra man in midfield or up front I reckon we could smash this level.

With 3 CBs we just look permanently confused when we defend

We kept Philogene quiet today. Really the only player of theirs I would really want is Leif Eriksson.
