I think other teams will get cocky when dominating possession aswell, thinking they have it won! Then they get suckered on the counter! Manager and head coaches could try and make them aware but its human nature they will see the possession and think they are on top!

Beauty is that a lot of teams will see us as cannon fodder, at least in the first few months.

They will come here thinking ‘we need to win this’ and play into our hands.

    We must capitalise.

Rooney dislikes SAFC fans because they did what any other home fans would have done seeing Utd pipped to the title in the last few secind if the season by their rivals after thinking they won it!

Sure he has said a few times he holds a grudge over it?

Wr have always been the team that's easy and fashionable to write off!

But we can all see the club and ownership are miles away from that these days!

Still find their dislike for us confusing. We took 4 points from City that season, we helped them!

Just a reminder if anyone needs it of where we’ve been - after the first couple of games in League 1 I bumped into a young Sunderland fan who asked me who my favourite player is of the new lot - My answer: er er Max Power.
    Wow. Imagine. Compare and contrast.

What did they expect from another teams fans away from home? "Oh hard luck, so sorry you haven't won the league again!".

At that point each season it was anybody but them for most fans!

They got upset because fans did what fans would have done anywhere else in the country, laughed at them!

I’m showing my age here and I hope this is not a daft question.

The Lambton Worm and the ‘til the end black cat tifo’s were excellent.
I wasn’t at either game so haven’t seen it live.
Are they a huge canvas with the picture painted on them and hoisted like a ships sail. Was it some kind of computer thing or what.
It seems a huge thing to do for a few minutes before a game.

What happens (if it’s a physical massive sheet) to it after the game? Is it sold off or will they be used again.
    Whatever it is, it’s impressive.

Dust has settled now after what was a tremendous day for the club and I know it’s already probably been mentioned too many times but Alderete looks a player. So comfortable on the ball, scheming and battling all the time off it. I think Ballard has given RLB a headache with that performance because the feeling would’ve been Mukiele comes in at RCB and Alderete plays LCB but Ballard isn’t getting dropped after that performance. Good options to have mind.

Really feel for Seelt as well thought he had a great first half, drew the short straw and had to deal with Bowen but kept him relatively quiet. Hope his injury isn’t too bad.

they are awful pundits. Rooney is very difficult to understand and shearer is just a bell end

surely they have better options .

Why? No chance with the first 2 at all. Watched top batsmen in cricket get done completely by topspin, which is exactly what happened with the third. Possibly ouldve done a little better, but watch his hand, comfortably getting the ball, until it spins and dips viciously from Wilson. Not as easy as you think. Looked like he was flapping a wasp away in the end!

I mean pundits can't watch all 90 mins of every game so they probably get handed a script from the producer and watch the highlights before going on TV. No wonder they come out with such basic ****e. That being said Shearer and Rooney were ****ing horrendous. Bitter, bitter men.
