Yes.... the Samaritans got calls from some on here when Selles was sacked... "you know who you are, you know who you are.......'
The reason I was pissed off when we fired Selles was that we'd binned off seemingly decent managers before, and my understanding was that Selles did what he did despite the limitations of our squad. Sure the footy was dire, but we had no attacking threat, and once he got that sorted, we'd be better. He's lost his first 2 league games with the Blunts though, yet he only lost back to back games once with us, and we had one of the worst squads in the division, and those matches were against top teams. Having seen how Jakirovic has us playing though, and the Blunts results, it's worked out very well, although i don't think this was the plan. Nor was being **** last season though. UTT
Really don't think people need to be backpedalling or explaining themselves over not wanting Selles sacked. He was a good manager for us and would've continued to improve us if he'd been given time. He's history now and we've got someone else who also seems good so far. Him losing two games at Sheff United is none of our business and is no reflection on the job he did here. If he starts winning do we flip again or switch to waiting for Rosenior to fail instead? None of it changes the jobs they did for us or the decisions we made on them.
Assuming the blunts board don't have a hissy fit, he'll do okay...They're five larkers light. However, if they lose Harmer it might be a different story.
