About time we saw you again Mr G it's been a while, shame some people have no sense of humor, very surprised at some reactions on here I thought we were playing Newcastle this weekend !!
I think it was confusion more than anything None of us knew whether this was a regular thing or just a crazy man on the wind up like! I read it through, was quite good. We're all good
very funny as usual gull, dont take it to serious toon as he often puts these ditties up for amusement only and not to offend anyone......this was a very good one of his.....
I see that after the initial confusion that the Toon have discovered that Mr G is harmless. Mental but harmless !
Confusion is definitely the word So, lads. A little early, but, predictions? Good to get a Swan perspective!
Spent a year in Swansea (up at mount pleasant) so I have a soft spot for the team. Been to the Liberty a couple of time too. Ideally we would win however I would not begrudge a draw.
Depending on how many players we have back, it could be anything but I'll be confident if Colo, Tiote and Williamson all make it.
That's fair, I'd say. Football is a funny game, but I think the level of confidence most Swans fans have will depend on how many of your key players are included come matchday. I'm an eternal optimist, but if we do sneak a result, I don't think it's any demonstration of "the wheels coming off" Newcastle's early form. They've been playing good football and have a squad full of good footballers, who all work hard, and are looking a really tough team to beat. Norwich got their tactics spot on against a weakened Newcaslte defence and up against Morison and Holt it's a tough ask. I read somewhere your two centre backs were 5'8" and 5'11", is that true?! Bold! In fairness to him that's not the first time he's got his tactics spot on. Norwich beat us fair and square at their patch too. The Swans are very unlikely to tailor our tactics for anyone, and we're due an away win. Many of the Swans squad have played against Newcastle during their brief period in the Championship, so there's not going to be the "wow" factor of playing in another massive stadium, and I'm confident we're going to see a really open game of good passing football.
well unless we make changes in the way we play our away games then i cant see nothing but an easy toon win im afraid. i would be happy with a draw but alas i dont think we are strong enough for that yet.....
yeah, we played Perch and Simpson at CB - they're both rightbacks (although i hesitate to call Perch a footballer of any sort), our left back we played is more of a rightback too
Yeah it is. We had all 3 of our senior centre backs injured so had to play Simpson, who's a right back, and Perch, who isnt a footballer. Norwich exploited it perfectly, all 4 goals from set pieces. We could have up to 2 of our 3 fit by the weekend, but equally may have none.
