I remember everyone complaining like **** when he was in the job. 'Embarrassing', made us look 'small time' was the common calls. Seen some **** petitioning the Club about it recently on Twitter - ludicrous to believe this would have swung it but anything seems possible these days post-Fergus
I think he becomes first backup to McBurnie. So will start when McBurnie gets his suspensions and also come on late in games, either to hold it up if leading or potentially to play two up top if chasing. Listening to Lundstram's interview with Baz, he said he'll adapt well to the English game and is a great hold up player.
I think kirkellatiger has it right: Jordan was no Martyn Hainstock but he was better than the more recent guy.
No worries, was interesting to hear it from Lundstram who obviously has the experience to know what to look for in a signing!
From the podcast interview, 2 observations. 1st. He' needs to be careful with rhe comments he's making or he'll get branded an arse licker by some on here 2nd. Interesting him talking about the Scouse lads and the existing links. There's potentially massive value on bonds like that. We saw it at its best with the Irish lads. I suspect it's not all coincidence. A shorter podcast but still a good listen that helps build sensible optimism
What would be the point in selling him this window when we can’t sign an adequate replacement and our only other senior keeper is crap?
I don't understand why Werder would want another keeper, they've already got Zetterer and Kolke, plus one of the best young goalkeeping talents in Europe in Mio Backhaus. Unless one of those is off, they don't need Pandur. What Werder need is a central midfielder. Maybe it was Slater and they misheard.
More worrying it says he was offered to Werder which would imply they never approached for him, and for single digit millions if he has a great season you could ask for a lot more, think it would piss SJ off.
