The Gills have got off to a fairly decent start, first game of the season we travelled the long distance of Accrington Stanley to bring home a point, thanks to Little. We then beat last seasons top of the table challengers Walsall 1-0 at home with Dack bagging us the points - followed then by a draw against L1 side Wimbledon who had to take us to penalties.

League positions are all pretty irrelevant at this early stage of the season, other than to say us and Tranmere are both on 4 points, along with 5 other teams. The host are top of that pile, and we are bottom based on GD, after Tranmere absolutely battered Shrewsbury 4-0.

Many decades ago this use to be our bogey ground, thankfully we long buried that one, and I certainly don't want to see a return of it now. As Andy Crosby will expect his team to be aggressive and intense again, so probably not an ideal game to be without Masterson, but Sam Gale will be our barn door, just make sure you bolt it up tightly lad...

    Tranmere 0-0 Gills
