I know we've signed a fair few but there's still lads there who've earned us this position and, imo, deserve the chance to step onto the pitch.

I won't be surprised if RLB springs a few surprises and we see players we weren't expecting ...

... it's easy to get carried away with 'names', as we all do, but Hume, as one example, has done more to get us to the PL than Xhaka.

Great post and those who got us here deserve backing to the absolute hilt when they do play.

They have earned the right to play at this level and wont let us down

He’d never do it cos he’s a classy bastard, but if KLD fancied a wander on the park 15 mins before kickoff can you imagine the noise?

    Would be raucous.

I imagine he will prefer to be out the limelight and let the players and staff take the acclaim.

Walking in the sol tomorrow is gunna make sticking through those horrid times (lets face it they were in league 1) worth it

them playoffs were off the scale, as was wembley

but tomorrow walking into our absolutely packed city, everyone buzzing, will be unbelievable. Then the walk into the ground will feel so emotional, newly decorated which i cant wait to see

credit to the owners and everyone connected for this summer, i certainly never saw anything like this coming.

lets back the lads til the end, they certainly deserve it. I cant wait to not sleep! Roll on the morn <cool><cheers>:emoticon-0152-heart

Course he will. That’s who he is.
The bloke absolutely oozes calm and grace.

Somehow after so many false starts the stars aligned for us.

Tell you who needs a mural? Fulwell73.

We can never forget that this likely doesn’t happen without the documentary. The documentary we loved and we felt and others tried to mock us for.

    Who’s laughing now ****s? Ha.

Gotta agree with you. Whether you class yourself as a realist or an optimist, you support Sunderland no matter what. You hope that the club gets as high as it can in the league even if it's not the best team. No one is expecting us to win the league but wouldn't it be bloody glorious if we did? For me, being a Sunderland fan is that there is no other team better than the one I support. Yes, I know it's probably far from the truth (only just mind!) but that's how I feel. If I'm classed as a happy clapper then that's what I am

I've never known the club be as one as much as it is now. Owner, board, coaching staff, players and fans - all pulling in the same direction. Even those players that have come in during the summer seem to be on the same page as those from last season. We haven't been back to the SOL since the Coventry game, everyone should get into the ground early, build the atmosphere, leave your phone on your pocket or at home and let's show the premier league that no matter what happens this season, we're going to back the lads 110% in each game

Let's hope people remember we are a work in progress when things dont go according to plan.

If we had perfect players they wouldn't be playing for us and if they were we wouldnt have spent 8 years out of the top flight.

Wonder if we can manage six games without one if the team being described as ****e or arse

I've been to places like Man City where a trophy, or Wembley, is no big deal so spectators barely leave their seat when they score ...

... we're better than that imo.

    Point of note.

Vallecano who we played last week are pumping a quite fancied Girona side 3-0 at half time away from home first game of season.

    They did look very tidy.

I'll be inside the ground for 2.30 at the latest.

My boss has just given me his car and keys for the Edinburgh townhouse ...

... I was due to get to Edinburgh at 11.30pm then sleep in my van but now I'm in luxury.

I'll not be leaving Sunderland til 9pm so plenty of time for a meal and a few more drinks.

It's all working out as if I'd scripted it :emoticon-0103-cool:

No owner should be like that imo and as you say KLD would never. But even if he would, he wouldn’t be doing it now, genuinely think that KLD will be thinking I’ve achieved nothing yet.

    Well said <applause>

We’ve had this success in part due to our no-questions backing of a young team. Time to do that again with bells on.
