Chasing up the 11am deadline he set for the EFL to sort it. I'd imagine the EFL are taking him very seriously so news should be immenent.
The man is obviously completely hatstand – but even by saying he’s rang the EFL, twice, for answers, he’s ‘seemingly’ done more than any local journalist to uncover what the issue is.
I don't know who this fella is but a couple of posters have suggested he's barmy. Why is that, what's he done/said?
Always up for defending Baz against some of the ****e he gets but that's such a weird response from him. Basically inviting criticism.
It may be an Independent Panel but they will be working under EFL guidelines in terms of how long they have to make a decision and report back. Otherwise it could go on for months/forever.
If it's complex enough then maybe it could. Highly unlikely of course. I am sure they'll let us know once they've finish thier review of whatever we submitted. I only expect a reduction at best. I'll be pleasantly surprised if it's lifted or suspended so anytime before January works. We do need something on the limbo players though as it's not fair on them.
Baz isn’t a particularly good investigative journalist. That’s why he works for Reach where 95% of his work could easily be mistaken for AI-generated slop. He has his sources at the club and he will ask them to confirm or deny rumours. Baz couldn’t be bothered, or didn’t he think it necessary, to follow up with the club regarding the legal details of Puerta and Laalaoui’s contracts. He just repeated several times ‘uh, yeah, they’re not Hull City players’ even though they’re Hull City employees and no longer contracted to their previous clubs. He doesn’t research things he’s reporting on which is lazy, in my opinion. If you want sports journalism that does a bit more digging to uncover things that has higher editorial standards, read The Athletic.
