From what I've seen of him, I can't believe we actually gave QPR money for Armstrong ! Glad that we won last night, lets see who we get next
If Yeboah is on loan and he looks a long way off and a bit from championship levels Riis gets a injury Armstrong is?? City bought that ticket, and it looks like theyve been taken for a ride!!
I’m hoping it’s a confidence thing rather than ability with Sinc. When he gets the ball, gets into some great positions and is fast and strong enough to beat his marker I think ‘maybe this is it!’ Then he hits it into row Z. Maybe once he finally scores then he will start to believe in himself. I sincerely hope that’s the case. The longer his barren spell drags on the less likely he is to be selected - so the less likely he is to score etc etc. It would be interesting to know how he performs in training when the pressure is off. For all we know he could be banging them in left right and header.
We maybe clutching at straws with that view. I only watched the last 25minutes but each time a sub came on the camera seemed to focus on Armstrong and he looked terrified it was his number. To me it seems he doesn't believe he belongs at this level. He might be right but just for spending £2million I hope in time he surprises all of us.
He scored against Millwall in our first home game last season. It’s not a confidence thing, it’s just he’s **** and especially not a team player.
If we play with the same intensity as we did at Sheff Utd then this is a winnable game, and I think it will show how serious we are about cup runs.
Do you think the player is at the same level in training? If the player displayed the same levels in training he would not be a pro. There has to be a confidence (psychological) issue.
But they are likely to want to progress in our domestic cup competitions given they've got no hope of the Premiership title. Don't get me wrong, I hope they field their academy team and we beat them, but I'm not sure they will field that weak a team
Fingers crossed you’re right and I’m wrong. But if your confident of him scoring goals like a normal forward. You’ve got a lot more faith in him than me.
Being perfectly blunt I think both Armstrong and Fayulu were and still are duds that some fool thought we could turn into Lionel Messi. We are wasting salary cap money on players not up to the task or standard and they need to be moved on asap to get better quality on board before the season really gets going. A more permanent goalie would fit the bill as I suspect that Vitek will move on, or back, before the end of the campaign.
Not sure if you lot are familiar with PS 5 but on there Armstrong is brilliant. PS I sold O'leary and Mehmeti.
