https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c627094g5q4o A new name in the frame Plus this. Manor Solomon could leave Spurs either on loan or permanently. Told his preference would be to rejoin Leeds, but I understand #LUFC have genuine interest in #ACMilan's Noah Okafor and that could impact Solomon, who other clubs are also keen on. #THFC
Solomon on loan with option to buy plus okafor would be ideal. Wouldn't have to worry about Solomon breaking down then
Kalimuendo to Forest. That leaves Taiwo Awoniyi surplus to requirements. **** DCL off and sign Awoniyi.
I dont know much about him mate, but he will be out for the African cup of nations i assume and also 1 goal in 26 prem games ? What am I missing here
Big battering ram of a striker which two wingers can work off. If he's available then I think he offers more than DCL at this stage of their careers. I like him as a target man. If Leeds are in for a target man then he is perfect for us. Either way, things are starting to happen now. Players are starting to move. Doors are opening for us.
Afternoon all. Do you think someone needs to sit down with our recruitment team and tell them that being data driven is all very well but, unfortunately, it doesn’t tell you whether a player actually wants to join!!
Spurs open for Solomon to go out on loan. Solomon on loan for a year would be an outstanding piece of business by us. An option to buy maybe. That way, we upgrade the first team for a season, minimum outlay, if he fires we can sign him. If he doesn't perform we walk away at the end of the season. I'd be super happy with a Solomon loan.
Well they seem to be having real difficulty in selling their vision of the club staying in the premier league.
Its not really the recruitment teams fault. The last 6 promoted teams went back down. We aren't offering relegation release clauses (according to the club) like last time. We aren't overpaying like Sunderland who look to be gambling big on this season. Stach is a great signing. Gudmundsson looks decent for the price. Longstaff is sensible. Bijol was cheap for his reputation. Recruitment are doing fine. We should have a healthy bank balance going in to the last two weeks of the window when the top players start moving.
It's frustrating as hell but the club are bottom feeders here. And none of us know what's gone on behind the scenes. The recruitment team may be doing a terrible job and making loads of schoolboy errors... or they may be doing absolutely the best they can in challenging cisrcumstances and will hopefully pull out some pleasant surprises. And agree - Solomon on loan.. preferably with an option... would be great business. Everyone seems to be getting worked up by this 'data driven' recruitment model. Everybody has a data driven recruitment model... it's how you trim down your targets to match the profile of the players you want... before you then factor in the other stuff: eye test, attitude, health etc issues into play. It was ok when Bielsa did it, but cause for panic when Mr Data nerd does it.
Hope Brentford don’t get Kalimuendo and Wissa leaves then they’ve got to be one of the most likely contenders we can bring into the relegation fight this season. With all the noise on wingers I think an ideal scenario come the end of the window would be buying Okafor & Solomon on loan for the left, leaving James & Gnoto for the right. Sell Harrison or keep as a squad option. Loan Ramazani to Rangers.
Ipswich must be taking the piss with pricing... it looks like Omari Hutchinson is going to join Forest for £37.5 million
Its gone very quiet. If there was a problem then something would have come out by now. They'll be doing the interview and promo video to release tomorrow before Farkes presser.
