Surely no one thinks Dan Neil is upset Xhaka has got captaincy. There’s no way when we signed him that Dan Neil would think or expect to have the armband when someone like GX walks through the door. If he doesn’t understand then he must be daft

Xhaka has started on his coaching badges, he may only have one left to do. That being the case, could we speculate that the club see a long term role for Xhaka after his playing days? Sorry to deflect the transfer thread for the sake of a few musings. Perhaps we will get some transfer news shortly.
I'd love it if Xhaka became a coach here. But that's mainly to do with the fact that if he's a coach here, he'll probably have been a player here for 3-4 years first, meaning we're very likely an established premier league club
I'm sure if Cirkin is living in a luxury apartment on the quayside, it would be much harder to gain access to break in than it would Shearer's house in Darras Hall or Anthony Gordon's which is very secluded in tranwell woods. I'm sure there's very few players who's houses location is not know to supporters

I really liked Broadhead when he was here and wanted us to sign him after promotion to the Championship, but £10m is absolutely absurd. Injury prone player with a career best of 13 goals in a championship season. More money than sense, that lot.
Was there not some kind of cryptic comment when he first joined, something about KLD selling the club to him and the plans in place for the next 10 years. Made me wonder if he wanted him to be part of those plans

not sure I've said it on here definitely to mates, imo, and I hope it's not for a few years yet because I like RLB,but I think it'll end up one of thoes rare situations where Xhaka is a player on day, then interim manger/coach the next.
