Spurs couldn't even hang on against this obviously unfit PSG team who's players have only recently come back from holiday and haven't played a match since Chelsea in the Club World Cup final a month ago...
Here’s a Liverpool theory. If they don’t get Isak and don’t get a 2nd striker in…… they’re ****ed If Ekitike either doesn’t perform or gets injured. It will be like Arsenal 2.0. In the mean time we could have had this disaster of a window and managed to bring in 5 possibly 6 squad upgrades meaning our first 11 can go back to playing the way they like at full throttle knowing they can be rested easier without the drop off to the same extent.
I don’t see it. Manu are poor at the back and not so strong in midfield. Uptop they look good. Spurs did ok yesterday but do not have squad depth yet. I still see them and many in the 7th and 8th positions.
I think we're going to suffer early on this season. We'll be down the bottom half by the time we start the CL games and then we'll struggle to put runs together. It's been a brilliant 3 seasons, but we're bound to go backwards again in terms of league position at some point. Aim for a cup again.
We'll have to agree to disagree but Man United in particular will be off and running long before we get any points and only play once a week.
Not transfer news but I read that the PL is on its way to becoming either an 18 or a 16 team tournament which paves the way for 6 clubs to have a majority say in what happens. Plans have got pretty far. The constant failures of promoted clubs is cementing the case. Argument that it keeps a PL together and allows for increase in euro games.
Don't see what that would solve, but no doubt driven by the usual suspects. Then the gulf between PL and promoted Championship teams will just get even bigger and even harder for them to compete with. Promoted teams will still struggle and mostly go down, just out of 16/18 teams not 20. But it reduces their chances of having a good first year in the Prem year and staying up. And once a 'bigger' PL team does go down, then they could be buggered for years.
surely the cartel would look at last season and want to increase the size of the league - more games more money right? Also if it were 18/16 teams spurs and Man U would have dropped, they were lucky the promoted teams were there for them!
The Americans.. They'll remove the league Cup also, so people can pretend Newcastle haven't won anything.. Like with the fairs cups. Bit by bit the yanks are removing anything and everything that was left of English football.. Eventually somewhere down the line it'll be like the NFL...what we've already got is a closed shop because of psr.. In truth there's not much left to go.. There's only an outside chance on a temporary basis for other clubs an the ****ers even want that stamped out. I've noticed the big push to make the club world Cup a thing and also the super cup which was of no relevance whatsoever really in the past.. The conditioning is taking place....
You'll be able to make 11 sub changes at every corner kick, to switch between offence and defence corners.
