Does anybody know what SJ was complaining about to the referee at the end of 90 minutes? I went out of the room for a few seconds and heard it mentioned on the commentary.
I do think there was a little bit of naivety about last night, being totally in control, with injury time left, having created so many chances, I think the lads just got carried away at how well they were doing, resulting in pushing forward when in hindsight it would have been better to close the shutters and protect what we had. It's a lesson learnt, and Serj eluded to that in his interview after. The loss of Ajayi is crap as he was imperious against Coventry, but Egan is a more then capable replacement, and from what we've seen of McCarthy I reckon he could step up if required as well. Not pressing the panic button just yet.
Well Ndala stayed down after the challenge, and there was a claim their player had gone through the back of him to get the ball, so who knows.
We knew he was injury prone and had been out long term last season, hence he was on a free. It was a calculated risk to raise funds from 2 existing reliable centre halves and replace them with frees. Hardly just a simple case of bad luck.

Is that the Slater that turned his back when their first goal was scored as the guy shaped to shoot ? Mind you Egan was ball watching when they got behind us . Slater at times is box to box , does get into the oppo area etc but for some reason he does seem to bottle more challenges than many others , if he sorted his heart out he’d be nobody’s scapegoat .
There's no shortage of effort from Slater. Which is why he's been used by every manager he's played under here. Usually in the higher percentiles in terms of running stats. It's his final ball quality and composure that often let's him down.
Ten To...he's a ****ing goalkeeper... if the ball is in the air near him and he can catch it, any good goalkeeper cleans everyone out and takes it or punches it... its nothing to do with system of play.
