The majority of us on our forum are wishing he hadn't turned you down, he has hamstrings made of elastic bands Dominic Calvert-Lewin - Injury history | Transfermarkt Lucky escape for you guys
DCL could go either way. He certainly won’t be a great signing, he could be a good one and in all reality may well be a disastrous one. He doesn’t score enough, and he doesn’t play enough. If Leeds magically unlock the player who had 1 good season, they’ve nicked a gem. That scenario seems a major long shot. There’s a reason why it was us or Leeds. He basically begged top clubs and they didn’t even have a convo. I can see why he’d be worth a punt, but he isn’t free, his salary will be massive on a free. It’s a massive Hail Mary signing him.
No. Essentially half of his career goals came in a season and a half. He’s never looked like producing that before or since. He isn’t a **** player. I won’t say that. He’s just a gamble and a low scorer.
Agree! I know we've varied our model a bit in this window....of course we needed to....but this is way outside what we'd want.
Yep,sympathy mate. We've had these players before, glad we've avoided this one. Having said that,he is a talented player....he'll probably come good for you and get 15 goals! Nothing would make me happier than to see Leeds and ourselves cement ourselves in this league and have a real good go at upsetting the mediocrity that exists from places 10 to 15!
Think for £34m he’s decent value. Outscores his xG and underlying stats suggest he’s ready to explode. Would fit the profile we are looking for I think as well. Surely one we’ve atleast had a look at and hopefully the mystery striker imo
I think we will see how Saturday goes before we go into the market for the last few days of the window
