McBurnie hasn’t played games in pre season. After last nights showing we need him wrapped in cotton wool all season
All valid points. Then again why was the cross allowed to come in? As suggested teams usually defend as one..or should do. Keepers tend to get singled out but he’s our No 2 back up and is still learning. As said elsewhere if you decide to come and punch you do it but the cross was excellent and if you don’t come for it there’s little chance of stopping it unless it hits you. More concerned about possible losing our new centre back to be honest. UTT.
He's 30 with 12 years and 200 odd senior appearances under his belt!! To me he looked like a competition winner all night. Agree though, I don't blame him for not saving that particular header though.
Strikers can have a mare all the game and then slot the winner in…instant hero. Keeper’s arguably make one poor decisions and the roof falls in on them. Who’d wanna be a keeper eh? UTT.
Massive blow for us. We have cover, but Ajayi is different level to them. And so our ****e luck continues .....
Absolutely this. You could also point at Giles getting caught out of position and wasting split seconds appealing for a foul and not getting back to defend ... but it was a team failing really. They would never have scored either goal if we'd sat back and killed the game.
He's not made of wet paper though Managed 98 games in 2 and a half seasons for Rotherham. Managed 170 games in 6 seasons for West Brom Managed 39 games for Nigeria, including 11 last year. Was the only Nigerian player to play every minute of every game for them in the Africa World Cup when they were runners up (thanks Wikiedia). Yes, he's had injury issues. And yes, it's our damn bad luck yet again that he has a re-occurrence so soon.
my phone died at half time, it was kinda funny reading all the comments later on, when you knew what was coming at the end...ha i thought there was a 15-20 minute period in second half when we looked absolute class going forward, really thought we where going to end up winning 5-1 hope that continues , especially at home. throwing it away was a bit annoying at the end, but with all the subs made , hoping its nothing more then disruption and a bit of complacenecy.
got absolutely destroyed by palmer in the air for wrexhams 2nd goal and thats about it didnt really see him
Regardless, 60 seconds after conceding to reduce it to a 1 goal lead in injury time, both our left sided players ended up at the halfway line ahead of the ball, and they had an unimpeded 40 yards run to get in a position to make the cross. Lundstrom scrambled to get across, but didn't manage to stop it.
