Didn't see the game but we looked good in the highlights! Wrexham 3-3 Hull City (5-3 pens) | Carabao Cup highlights | Football News | Sky Sports
Switch the “ ****s “ and “ on “ and you’d probably be spot on… some of us maybe lol.. just a joke serious Susans ….
Sometimes defenders simply get out jumped and keeper can do little with close up headers. One concern for me last night was the age old problem of allowing too many crosses into the box. It’s easy to forget we both attack and defend as one unit or team, and as we witnessed time after time last season the better sides will exploit any weaknesses left unattended. Hopefully the new manager is already aware of this issue. UTT..
We need to sort our selves out in the middle for crosses, both goals were easily won headers plus the clear header right at the start of the second half when he missed a sitter- not a good look and will give opposition teams the message just cross the ball onto the 6 yard line and you'll get a free header - needs sorting
To be fair to Ndala, the defender went through the back of him to get the ball. Egan was pretty much on his hands and knees when he came off, so no. Anyway a lot to like about last night's performance, particularly McBurnie/Palmer/Gelhardt up front, and Ndala's cameo. Also good to see us maintaining two City traditions: a) Going out of the cup at the first opportunity b) Writing off a new player on the basis of one game.
To be fair we played a strong team last night, probably only two changes away from our best available 11. Wrexham made 11 changes.
You say out jumped, but Hughes was in front of him so really should have got to the ball first I think, and why didn't the keeper come out and claim it, commanding his box etc..
I think Palmer sees the cross before Hughes because Of the angle he's running in from, Hughes doesn't have the time to react and jump early enough. Like others have said, I think it was just a good goal and the critique should be about much earlier in the move.
yes, we did ok until we thought "we've got this in the bag" and then took our best players off I would have kept on McBurnie and Gelherdt for penalties
I remember organising a party at our house we invited 400 and 200 turned up it was still packed a mate of mine organised a party at his flat he invited 30 and 15 turned up it was dead
I love attacking and positive football, but 3-1 up in the 90th minute you just need to be pragmatic and see the game out.
an attacker and a defender are in slightly different positions and who wins it depends where the cross is put one of them always has the advantage
