That’s insane. He has nothing to do with what’s happening over there. We can’t just rule out a nation of players because of how their country is behaving.
You're right with that thinking imo. However, we need a degree of certainty and I expect we'd bring in a RB with the same experience and capability as our LBs. Hume may become our best FB but that situation can be addressed a year hence, after a loan, when we're sure of him. If he's a much better player, but it's clear he won't be forcing his was back in, at least he'll be worth considerably more than he is now.
People don't like him because he actively posted a pro israel post on his instagram when it was going on
I look at it this way. If we have injuries / suspensions we should cover within the main squad. So take outfield players in a 24 man squad. 21 players. You have a minimum of 5 not getting a minute on the pitch. You might argue 6 or 7 depending on how subs need to be used. In the event we have say 5 or 6 injuries you can bolster the training group from u21s to keep number and quality high. One or two on a bench of 9 for a match day is no bad thing either. I would sooner that, personally, just to make sure coaching sessions are elite. The alternative is you have a handful with the u21s for training, which I think is a poor outcome. Or they train alone. If we end up having to pay off contracts I would do so personally, to get down to a number the coaches are happy with.

He wasn’t suspended by Spurs. He was suspended by Instagram, who later apologised and reinstated his account. Plenty of teams will be chasing him. It’s a non-issue.
I'm just going by some fans reactions under that tweet and in my group who are quite strongly viewed when it comes to the conflict. There is some saying they will never go again while he plays for the club if we sign him
That looks like a guy showing support for his own country after they were wrongly blamed for something. There’s a different thread for this, so best to not go into it. Anyway, it looks like he’s going back to Leeds.
If Huggins had a year on loan and proved to be as good as we hope, next year you'd be sitting with 3 right backs potentially worth £15/20m meaning you can sell one to help the budget next year. Keeping Huggins this season might mean we're not strong enough in the position, but also means he's still not getting a full season of football under his belt (which I don't think he's ever had).
Mohamed Ali-Cho. Can play right, left or centre. Highly rated young talent. French who was brought up in England.
It's a bizarre part of the window now. I think its the first time in genuinely MONTHS we've not had an ongoing link / connection to a transfer target.
Yeah, I think a winger is crucial due to AFCON, and we need the depth really. for me, it would be RW, CB, RB, ST(?)
Normally I'd agree but 24 is too low with some of our players injury records Ballard cirkin o9 (not injury prone but concerns over his shoulder) alese mundle huggins - all had so many injuries that we need to take into account this season Once we have a season in the league the squad size will start to reduce. I think itll ne too short going in with 24 if most of the above are included in that
I don't mind having a bigger squad than usual this year personally, given the new challenge plus AFCON. I think next year we know where we stand and can remove a bit of bloat looking for a more elite squad, but 28-30 is fine with me as long as the absolute Deadwood is gone.
I agree but at the same time we are alright for the initial games (as far as anyone can actually tell). We still have one prem loan spot left as well. A Winger who can also play through the middle would be fine really. I think we've been spoilt by how much early business we have done as we usually get everything done quite late. The window doesn't close for another 19 days!
