We were never signing Romulo let's get that straight.

Oh yeah I’m not saying we ever had a chance of getting him, just couldn’t remember his name.

Ownership group or no ownership group he clearly had caught the attention of other clubs and was moving on to bigger things.

Maybe if this was a season ago and we were just about to start a PL campaign he could’ve been persuaded, but who knows

£40m pure PSR profit for Aston Villa. Could this make them a player in the Tyler Dibling stakes? I know they've come to watch him a lot

I would be more than happy for him to move to Villa, i have a lot of time for them. I also think it would be a great move for TB.

Did people really think we could sign him though? He's definitely an example of how the multi-club model could help us. Problem is, we need to at least be in the Premier League for that to work properly with a player like him.

Could be one for the loan pipeline. Also not impossible that one or more CB leaves before the end of the window. I’m still expecting THB to leave on a loan with an option to a premier league club

If he is adamant on sticking with 3 CBs then it wouldn't be that farfetched. The other possibility would be that maybe THB is leaving after all.

Doesn’t sound like anything we didn’t already know. Everton bid and we told them what we wanted, they haven’t matched it yet.

Only possibility of it being new news is that we’ve gone back to them with a lower valuation than we had told them previously. If we’ve done that then sounds like Dibling has burnt his bridges here, but that’s me assuming a lot

More what I expect the board should be doing, not what I think they will

Definitely is, but just what I feel like our expectations should be given our current squad

Calvert Lewin to Leeds, if he stays fit will be a good signing for them.

One of the most overrated strikers in recent times.

Ah, shame. Would have been amusing if he scored a hat-trick.

Depends on how you define overrated I guess. I’ve always liked him as a player when he’s fit, just far too injury prone to rely on.

I don't think he's all that even when fit. Had a good run lasting just over a year and had looked bang averages the rest of the time.

Fair, I think he offers a lot. Everton fans I know (not to be trusted as they are unbelievably thick and deluded) reckon he’d be one of the best about if he stayed fit. Rate him very highly, injuries likely have done him in though.
