One of my oldest friends is a regular expert on AR for military items. He was only a small part of the VJ episode, but produced and played a much larger role in the VE episode in May. All fascinating, and as you say, humbling stuff.
The Great Game, 1953 film on TPTV, scenes filmed at Griffin Park, the plot is a chairman makes an illegal approach (as if!) to sign a player from another club. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Just watched Rebus on Netflix, I must have missed it when it was on BBC, pretty good. Apparently there's another one in the works, I'll be watching out for it.
Half watched it Mrs Tash had it on. Seems that either 1. An innocent person is in prison 2. A guilty person was put away, but there’s enough questionable evidence to mean that families will have doubts or 3. A guilty person is in prison, but some other deaths which she didn’t have anything to do with haven’t been investigated as well as they should have been because the assumption was she did it. Whichever way it’s not good
It's a mess. I think a re-trial is needed. Would hate to think she is one of the most hated people in the country but could be innocent. I am not sure either way.
Yeah really interesting. I’m still not sure either way. But doesn’t sit comfortably with me that there is no complete proof that she did it.
I don't know, I do know if she didn't do it the judiciary will drag it out for years, perhaps decades. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
I got the impression that there was very little definitive evidence on each individual case, but to believe she was innocent, you had to accept that lots of babies just happened to randomly die while she was looking after them. I think it was the unlikelihood of that being the case, that ultimately saw her convicted.
I watched panorama last night on bbc1 , intriguing . Experts disagreeing on lots of things, but it did appear All the alternative things that could have happened to some of the babies, in a lot of cases where possible but slim , and for them all to happen as the alternatives the odds seem incredibly long. She’s either evil or one of the unluckiest people in the world
If Lucy Letby wasn't a moderately attractive, girl next door looking, young woman then her case for innocence wouldn't have got a fraction of the attention it had. Butter wouldn't melt and all that.
