McBurnie Palmer Hughes McBurnie looks a significant upgrade, Palmer probably had his best game for us, and Hughes was solid as usual
Palmer - usually only notice him from the bench but he was good tonight, makes things happen. Gelhardt - played a big part in both goals Drameh - great assist and his side was solid all night. Tinsdale looked handy for the hour he got and Mcburnie is a much better footballer than I thought!
1.Palmer. Superb, like a new signing. 2.Lundstram. Good defensively and excellent ball distribution, Seri like. 3.Egan. Mistake taking him off. ... Stupid and soft booking by Hughes which seem to effect him for a while, otherwise he was solid. Great away support and hopefully lessons have been learned by the new coach/manager. He knows what they are.
Had the game won at 90 minutes and then switched off for one . Kept up the tradition of league cup early exits . 1 Palmer - probably one of his best games for us . He worked hard , passed well , got into good positions and his assist looked to have won us the game . 2. Lundstram - showed his quality with some excellent passing and good positioning . He always seemed available to collect the ball at the back to get the team moving . 3. MCBeastie - a well taken goal , he gave their defence problems . The sort of pest you want on your side . Giles and Gelhart did well and Hughes too , but he was bullied for their 3 rd. Unlucky Boys . Come on City
McBurnie Palmer Gelhardt And a 4th Lundstram as I can’t separate them. Best 3 up top for a long long time
Palmer (not normally a fan but much better last night) McBurnie (better footballer than I gave him credit for) Drameh (on that evidence, if he stays, Lewie’s going to struggle to get in ahead of him) Lots of other positives, particularly Gelhardt and Lundstram plus Tinsdale looks promising. Defense looked solid until the changes, although we now know why it was felt necessary to make them. Shame about the result but really good performance overall to give us some much needed positivity.
