George Robb. My first Spurs hero.Partly blamed for the Hungary defeat in 1953/4 and never picked again!
Steve Perryman, Ossie and Villa (along with good old colin) are my all time greats ... mabbutt joined them and now Son has. The only other who has come close for me Defoe. To have stayed so long, when others chose to leave says a lot about him as a person. Could easily have done what Carrick, Modric, Berbatov, Bale, Keane Eriksen and Kane did but chose to be a true legend. So pleased he lifted a trophy with us.
I’ve always rated him. The stats show Spurs are better with him in the team. It means not signing Gibbs-White is much more significant now. Grealish anyone? @Dier Hard
Gareth Bale is set to replace Rio Ferdinand on TNT. I like Ferdinand's enthusiasm and energy, but can't recall him saying anything worth listening to in several years.
Hi guys ive got tickets to see the Post Malone concert in September at White Hart Lane do any of you know a decent car park near the stadium please ?
For the past couple of season I have driven to the matches and used the guys below. They use "The Brook on the Farm" school in the Broadwater Estate, and it's about a 20 minute walk from the ground. Secure parking, with toilet facilities on site if needed. It's also not too bad for getting away from, depending on where you live of course! https://totpark.co.uk
This is who I use for match days. https://www.tottenhamparkingtcsc.com/ Also there’s a website called something like “Park on my drive”. Very easy to use.
When it would have cost 1/2 % of a pound (Or halfpenny) to send, and a terraced house could be bought for £100 - £500. On the subject of inflation my first flat (brand new in Bexley) cost £7000. My first house £14000,(in Chatham) which I sold 5 years later for £36,000 I looked on line that 3 bed end of terrace is now £375,000. My wife lived in a flat in South London, that was valued at £8000 that's now £2million. I digress
My first flat in South Croydon cost me £17k (1979) now apparently 'worth' £250k and first house in Selsdon was £32k (1982) and now £430k. Frightening!
Best not to think about it. My first home in Chingford I sold for £80k-ish back in the 90's. It then sold in 2022 for £540k.....
