Will do ... but may take some time ... convincing the missus to watch it might be a challenge ... but Zac Efron? ... maybe, just maybe... <laugh>

It's quite dark at times but a true story and very, very good.

Mate ... did it ... can't really give it more than an 8 (and that was a bit of a stretch tbf)... possibly because Zac Efron's rather strange wig had me wondering if Sam, Merry and Pippin were also gonna turn up at some stage ... plus him supposedly being 6ft 2" meant his brother David would have been close to 7ft, based on one of the ring shots ...

... but enjoyable nonetheless... and the real story is indeed something <cheers>

I'd highly recommend blue eye samurai if anime is a thing you like sometimes, excellent show that was

Also batman ninja, and the new terminator anime series (forget the name)

It was actually lol. I watched it with my daughter who love anime. But it's a kids film really.

We're big into Studio Ghibli stuff in our house and another Japanese producer called Makoto Shinkai

I'll check out Blue eye Samurai. If you like that sort of thing, check out Kubo and the two strings. <ok>

By some strange twist of fate I am currently watching the first series of Arcane.

I know it's not really anime but it's close.

    Excellent stuff as well BTW.

    8/10

Can I recommend the legend of Vox Machina.

Well of course i can, I already have somewhere in the dark recesses of this very thread

When Kubo first came out i posted in here it was the finest example of stop motion animation ever made. I still say that.

Travesty that it didn't win an Oscar tbh.

    Annoying.

Do you know if it's set in Ripley times or after/before?

Not sure on the timeline but it has the aesthetic of Alien, first episode is all atmospheric and the 2md takes off a bit. Very good start.
