Season ticket holders get discount on drinks at the fan zone before kick off. Not sure if it applies to food too. For me the fan zones are one of the best things the club has done in a long time. I find the match going experience now is much improved (results aside last season). I get the point about taking income from local businesses but I suspect many fans (like me) drank at big chain pubs anyway, and I’m sure Mr O’Neill will be doing just fine without my couple-of-pint-income every other week.
It does look cool, been a very long time since I've been in the chapel, I'm very curious how they plan on stopping the golf course getting covered in a nice thin layer of Beer after one half time though
Simple - probably won't sell alcohol there. I think it's more for hospitality than for the general fans.
Yeah, I think that is the entire point of this project. This is an effort to generate revenue outside of match days. It is a good idea. We have a huge premises on valuable land yet we only generate revenue on about 30 days throughout the year if you include the odd gig or friendly. We also have the advantage of free marketing via socials/match days, no rent to pay and existing relationships with suppliers of food/drink so will likely get favourable pricing due to bulk orders. In short, it should be pretty easy to generate profit.
Seems doable Based on the description, everything will just pack up and pack down, so it's just a case of renovating the interior space to make the concourse more suitable (which isn't a bad idea given it's meant to be the family stand, might make it resonate more with kids as a place they want to spend more time) and then once the space has been stylised to fit with the Level1 aesthetic then they can add/remove entertainment pop ups as and when they see fit

As long as they advertise well this should be a hit, only issue I could imagine is people not knowing it exists and location. How popular is the pub outside of matchdays? Can't say I've ever tried it.
It will basically be a venue with a bar a bit like the boom battle bar, although seemingly with a little more going on with climbing and golf sims.
I used to work in offices at the Northam end of the stadium, used to have an entry door by the ticket office and it was/is used for wheelchair access to the disabled supporters bay in the Northam end.. Does anyone know if the offices are still used? If not there is another load of space available.
