O’reilly would play the ELF role I believe and would give us a LOT of physicality alongside Xhaka and Diarra. No idea if it is mind just my opinion on where he’d fit

Great in the dressing room
Would aid the development of our young strikers
Fits our system really well

O'Riley is a top player and i'd be surprised if he's the one we're supposedly in for.

Think the only way that one would work is if both Neil and Browne are leaving. Then we could run our midfield options something like

10: O'Riley, Rigg
8: Diarra, Le Fee
6: Xhaka, Sadiki

I'd much rather prioritise wing depth and another CB though, even if O'Riley is excellent.

 

I don't think we will sign him but just know he's been linked previously

He is different to our other CMs and would give us a goal threat our others don't have

Agree there's other pressing needs but he improves the squad and should bring goals to the team so def not against it as he's a quality player

Would come down to our budget, I'd hate to buy o'reilly then we don't have money to strengthen in the wode areas - suppose the club would know best in this aspect

One big plus mark for O'Riley is that Ange at Celtic used the same 442 press as we do and O'Riley was the midfielder that joined the striker to press the opposition defence, which is something I think we lack currently

 

Plus he takes pens that's an even bigger plus
