The point is valid imho, boats only became an issue on the back of Brexit. People are making a living out of shouting about boats as if that's the biggest issue in current events. Food banks, poverty, crime, Ukraine, Palestine, corruption within politics, the rich getting richer, the poor getting poorer, and ****ing Brexit, those are far and away my biggest priorities ahead of boats. It may just be me but boats and illegal immigrants are nothing more than a diversion from the most serious issues.

You can be concerned about more than one thing at a time. Tbh , I agree that we are often told to look at the shiny shiny to distract us . However , Countless ****s have rinsed the general tax paying public … from contract to contract with no scrutiny. This , ‘boats’, is just another in a long line of **** sandwiches being fed to us . A very real issue when you consider we are taxed to death . Add it to ze list ! Our politicians are shameless grifters , everyone of them to a man / person / them.
The illegals are costing millions each day. Thousands of men we know nothing about are roaming the streets. I think that is a very real concern and not some mere bagatelle. Only an utter imbecile would fail to be alarmed at our porous border. I still like you.
I know nothing about most of the people roaming the streets. There are contributors to this very thread who are free to roam the streets (probably in most cases while wearing ankle tags), and that’s more scary than a few undocumented boat people.
What do you expect from someone that posts a cropped image and claims it shows a Nazi salute, when the video it's clipped from shows he's dancing.
A few, you say? I thought it was thousands at the last count. Silly me. We have enough of our own malefactors to deal with, let alone allowing more in. Our prisons are full of foreigners, many of whom are sex pests, costing untold millions. Do you not care that your taxes are being frittered away? Can you really see a bright future in this country for your grandchildren? I'd say the outlook is rather bleak.
