But you are conflating Palestine with Hamas. They are not the same.

Indeed. And you're conflating the Israeli population with their leaders too. They are not the same either.

Netanyahu is just about as corrupt as Trump. He will prolong this war as long as he can to stay in power, avoiding pressure for a review of October 7th and the corruption trial he will inevitably face after the war ends. The Israeli people generally hate him, but he has been able to use the outrage over October 7th to keep them relatively quiet. A lot like Putin and Ukraine, and Trump and ‘illegals’. The fascist playbook playing out in Israel is one of life’s greatest, and saddest, ironies.

You do, of course, mean proscribing - prescribing would be quite the opposite of their intention!

The press love Farage, he’s box office gold. And he has his own tv show, which beggars belief really. The man gets a huge amount of press coverage, and most of it is positive. Even the BBC has been rolling out the red carpet for years. With any luck he’ll fall out with his own party before the next General Election, and Reform, which is mostly a collection of absolute freaks, weirdos and closet Nazis, will tear itself apart. But don’t count on the press doing anything other than puffing him up.

I’m not surprised Starmer is unpopular. His government has made some high profile errors, and communication has been terrible, but if they can tackle the housing crisis and get public services back off life support they may yet reap the benefit.

At the risk of being called a conspiracy theorist, I am becoming more and more convinced that Farage and his financial backers were fully aware of how much impact us leaving the EU would have on immigration, particularly asylum seekers.
As an ex MEP Farage would have known about the Dublin Protocol and it’s importance in preventing mass migration to the UK, and my belief (right or wrong) is that his game plan was to drive Brexit and, by doing so, open up the floodgates for the channel crossings, so he could then take advantage and push his right wing agenda onto the country.
Even if I am wrong, this is where I think the government and left wing media should be focusing their attacks on Farage. His name needs to be relentlessly mentioned and his actions need to be directly linked to the mass migration of asylum seekers.
His supporters need to have it rammed down their throats that he is the reason for the crossings.
As I have said before, Labour, Lib Dem, Green Party MPs et al need to be putting this into every single interview they are giving. It needs to be as relentless as the bilge and lies being spouted by Farage and his supporters.

Not sure if it was a joke but I saw a post on Facebook about a man being arrested by the met for wearing a “Plasticine Action” T-shirt, complete with a picture of Morph on it.

Anyone who said Trump was not going to try to use the military to keep his grip on power needs to look at what the guy is up to now…
