The attackers got a lot of attention last season, but the best attackers in the world won't be very effective if the rest of the team isn't very good. So while there were also comments about an ageing and ineffective midfield, and particularly not having the right defenders to play the managers system... all that they've done is spend vast amounts (which they said they didn't have) on attackers.
I'm in the USA remember. It seems every time I turn the computer on to follow the football news Man U have umpteen players they are either ready to sign or almost their. Maybe crap or not but I do believe they have too many players, some not worth a toss (like Spurs!?).What are Chelsea doing with their umpteen teams?....helping the ladies out?
I remember years ago somebody compiling a team sheet of every player Man Utd were linked with that window They had 38 players in their starting xi
Just seen the prices for drinks at Everton's new stadium: please log in to view this image Bit blurry, but that's a massive mark-up from Goodison, IIRC. Leaving aside the concept of treating your fans well, I question the jacked up nature of these. You won't make more money, because people will buy less or none at all.
Palace losing their UEFA appeal is likely to confirm Marc Guehi's exit, although he was probably moving anyways. Good, ball playing defender and home grown. Wonder if he would make a good DM?
That crinkling noise you just heard was Daniel Levy preparing the bag of wotsits (multi pack) to combine with Bryan Gil as our official bid for Adam Wharton.
Wow! Got to see the mighty Bromley take out Ipswich on my Kentucky box starring a 40 year old Ashley Young.Who'd have guessed.I get to watch PSG v some other foreign team tomorrow. Can't wait! Will PSG behave themselves?
Enjoyed the destruction of the narrative built up over Pool's transfer business about the invincibility and how they would run away with the title.
It's a glorified friendly but a lot of their fans went from complacent to slightly worried. I suspect that they'll still spend a bit more now, as the attacks on Newcastle increase. Anyone would think that Isak was being held captive by a dictatorship...
The 2nd round of the league cup has been drawn. It includes Premier League sides that aren't in any European competition. Man Utd have been drawn away to glamourous Grimsby.
