According to the bloke on sky it was the thigh-high follow through that got him the 2nd yellow. Having just got his first yellow, you'd have thought a player with his experience would know not to go flying in

Not particularly - just that was his explanation for the sending off. He said Bannan touched the ball first, but the follow through was deemed dangerous play.
