Morning all I only came over here to read the comments and reaction to the Blades game with Bristol Hope you are all keeping well and I am assuming a point gained against Coventry
Great result and more importantly great signs for us. I know they're Mickey mouse games but if you add the friendlies in we have got progressively better and the manager thinks we have a long way to go. Luckily for you, you don't have to play us this season. Bristol City were excellent and i can see it going horribly wrong for Selles unfortunately. Hopefully he signed a very solid contract.
An apology. If you read our transfer thread this morning, I referred to Gelhardt and put the chances of Leeds getting relegated at 99%. I was being grumpy and being unfair. I think the chances are nearer 97%.
I can't say I did read it. Recruitment wise, we have done well at the back and middle but then we have ground to a halt, as things stand we haven't much of a chance of staying up. Bogle is going to be out injured for a while, we need a full back to compete with the other two, we need a wide left player, we need at least one striker and an attacking midfielder, all things that are like hens teeth when you are newly promoted. Thankfully the transfer window is not yet shut, who knows what transfers we might still get done. Annoyingly, we have Everton first game and that's one we need to win if we are trying to avoid dropping straight back down In an ideal world, ourselves and Sunderland will stay up and relegate two new teams, the trend needs stopping, Sunderland fans seem pretty confident in their transfers, only time will tell.
looking at millwall they've made some very good signings, got a really good starting lineup id say, under the radar
Spirited start by Sheffield Wednesday. Odd to see the University of Hull (“since 1927”) featuring on the electronic advertising boards.
I thought at the start that we could end up with a Phelan's City situation, with the hopeless also-rans taking down the mighty Leicester on the opening day...
I know we’re supposed to dislike them and I do but I can’t help but feel happy for them. Club’s in complete turmoil and they’ve gone 1-0 up against a team that’s just come down from the Prem. The players going to the other end of the pitch to celebrate with their fans is what football should be all about, not the money or arsehole owners.
Obviously spending the money there that they saved by pulling their sponsorship of the main stage at Humber St Sesh…
Someone's probably said this already, but based on this weekend's games, the Championship looks more open than ever this season. I don't think we'll see the three stand-out teams we saw last time round. Everyone much of a muchness. That means if we could start scoring goals, we might have a chance of going up, not just down.
