Cooper should have been sent off twice, should have had two yellows in first half and now a straight red.

Lot of work needed, we were poor.

Well if we thought the team might be a bit tougher, Millwall really showed we can still be easily bullied

They should have been down to ten men, but let’s face it we didn’t deserve to win or even draw

    Flimsy and poor defensively

The first game curse strikes again. Starting two DMs at home seemed negative and so it proved, though Wright worked his socks off throughout. Sargent was full on from the start and kept us in the game. Keeping him now seems paramount. Disappointed with Crnac, who never really got into the game. Forson was better in a committed performance. Can't but wonder what Kvistgaarden could have done if he had started but he's apparently not fit enough for that. After our good start, Millwall gradually took control of the midfield and got on top, aided by a couple of defensive lapses as players tired. Losing at home makes the chance of a top 6 finish look a long way off.

And just like that, my hopes and expectations for this season are gone. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

A lot of new players, though, so I'm just hoping they need time to gel and improve quickly.

I'm sure the officials will look at it & he'll get a retrospective red & suspension like McLean & Sainz did last season for far less .

It won't change the result, so I don't see the point.

The first few games of the last how many seasons we have a half fit squad with a bunch of newbies. More than anything it was a combination of the lack of fitness and not knowing how each other play that cost us

I don't get the idea that as a wing back Stacey is better than Fisher. In our first attack Stacey was presented with a clear run down the wing and proceeded to cross straight into the keepers arms. For their second goal he again got well forward and failed to find a teammate thus losing possession from which they attacked and scored. With Stacey now well out of position to defend.
Crnac was totally annonymous, Forson little better and Medic on the casualty trolly.

I think Stacey is the better WB because of his pace and ability to get behind defences. His Whoscored rating was 6.7 compared to Fisher's 5.7, which made him our 4th highest ranked player behind Wright (7.3), Sargent(7) and Córdoba(7), who had one of his best performances yet. I agree about Crnac, but Forson was effective in our strong spell early on, though he faded from there. Wright was the biggest positive for me along with Sargent finding a way to score without depending on his teammates, who provided little service throughout. Away to Portsmouth looks challenging now unless there's a big reaction and improvement.

    Highlights

How did Topic not get his head on the ball just before their second goal? 4:27 minutes in the video.

Medic mis-headed one later almost giving Millwall a 3rd goal.

Let's noit forget we have also had a few players leave - Gunn, Sainz, Hernandez, Lungi, Doyle, Dobbin, and there may be others go too (but hopefully not Sarge!) it will take time for this team to gel, according to the Pinkun, in 3 of the 4 previous occasions City have lost their opening Home fixture outside the top flight, they have finished the season being promoted - Premier League here we come!!

Sorry, going to partially disagree there, unless we're including dressing room influence, given half of those weren't regular first team players their loss surely is minimal and shouldn't take any time for replacement players to bed in?
Of course as I've said before, buying foreign players and expecting them to gel within August is a recipe for disaster, it wouldn't surprise me come January we're still having issues.
