loving stach long legs a proper barstewert to get around. a couple of good one time passes through the box. winning our headers on corners
Not to bad a first half we started on the front foot but Milan slowly got to grips, Schmidt positionally still lacking and Milan know that. A little credit to him though he seems to have been told to play quite high. We play to honest at times and Milan know the tricks of the trade for the ref. Schmidt and Roden getting a rough day but its going to be like this nearly every game. split second decision making could of made the difference as Piroe would of had a tap in if Willy didn't see the Italian back page headlines. All in all good. we giving as good as we get.
Reflections on that first half are that the Isaac Schmidt experiment has run it's course. No Bueno. He can't start against Everton. He is a massive weak link and id rather start Ampadu at right back and bring in Longstaff. Caught a few swings last week in my assessment of some of the new arrivals but Stachs performance in that first half is what I was getting at last week. I don't want to see glimpses of what he can do (like the Villareal game). I want to see him dominate the midfield area consistently like i know he can and that's what he has done today so far. That is the Stach I expected to see. The first look at Perri is also as suspected. Probably an upgrade on what we had but he will have his brain farts. Hopefully not as many as Meslier. In general, we look well organised but lack the quality in the final third and more worryingly at right back. Gnonto can't be the replacement for Solomon, he's not good enough. Ramazani needs 45 minutes to show us what he's got.
Reality check: This is more or less the Leeds side that will be facing Everton. This is Milan’s second string. Milan are a week behind Leeds in their preparations. Apart from that, impressed with Stach and Gudmundsson. Need more firepower. Let’s hope Nmecha is now up to speed and can show what he can do.
