I really hope how easily this ref is giving fouls for even the slightest touch isn't a taste of what to come from this season from the EFL rule book

Can someone confiscate the referee’s whistle? Hes making a mess of what could be a decent battle.

To be fair to the ref, neither team are doing themselves any favours. There’s soft fouls and silly fouls and there’s been both in equal amount this game. Feels like both teams are playing the occasion rather than the game.

Not sure it’s the players’ fault if he gives a free kick for a touch on the shoulder. But yeah, they could stay on their feet, Johnson and Anderson especially.

 

Kyogo is a nightmare for Championship defenders.

I rate Brum’s holding midfielders Iwata and Paik a lot.

 

Both these teams look crap. On this basis, automatic promotion should be the aim.

Stansfield’s had two decent chances and shanked them both. He just seems to be hitting them with no composure.
