they budget for the Europa League and act as if the CL money doesnt exist, they just bank it as a bonus

how much they spend is dependent on how much they bring in on player sales, they either break even on a good year (for fans) or they make a profit

waiting for the CL is just an excuse rolled out by happy clappers to justify the wasted time in the window

the board like to wait till the last minute to try and get a good deal, only that strategy is now backfiring, and they were forced to pay double on Idah and Engels last year, where we had guaranteed CL all along, directly disproving your point

Brugge haven’t punted all their best players. They’ve still got lads like Ordonez and Onyedika which would get into most EPL teams. They’ve just sold Jashari who was their best player, I’ll give you that. They’ve still got loads of quality, though.

I was raving about them last season, one of the smartest clubs in Europe, and one of the best teams we played in the CL, very lucky to get a draw against them

but they have sold 90m worth of talent, its a big downgrade for a Belgian league club, and im obviously going to preemptively **** on sevcos future opponents on the off chance they get a result against them

 

Fair enough. Tbh, that Talbi we signed from them is still a work in progress. He was in and out of the team and may be the same for us in his first season.

I wouldn’t bet against their new signings turning into top players. They’ve got a good thing going on at that club. I’m a proper fan boy for them.

Yeah De Cuyper is a good player. Hes in my dream team. He should get enough goals and assists. They’ll need to sort his tracking back out. He’s a bit suspect defensively still.

 

Wages and League status will win . If Sunderland and Celtic are going for same player , I’ll assume Sunderland will offer bigger wages and they will have one season in premier league to show on CV
