The one to miss a ton of chances yes. Massive downgrade if we are even thinking of it and if we are then whoever put him on the list needs to be invited to the Saudi Embassy for a "chat."
A disaster is a flash flood in India, an earthquake in Russia, a Tsunami in Indonesia - not a poor Summer transfer window. I am just looking forward to the football starting again. Wouldn't want to see Jackson at the club, whether Isak goes or not. The guy is a disruptive influence and squad togetherness will be vital when there is only about 15 of them left. Hopefully it will give some of the younger players a chance for serious minutes as we have been poor at getting our academy prospects to transition to genuine first team squad members. Think we will probably make a few last minute signings in the next 3.5 weeks, that will annoy the doomsayers more and Howe can work his magic on them. There may be hell on if Isak is sold but it will only last until we put a good winning run together. If we don't do that it will heap the pressure on Howe but he should expect that anyway.
Howe making an example of Isak is exactly the kind of management you love to see. I remember when people accused him of being soft.
All very good points, with which I agree we would be better off. Crucially, if we want to go toe to toe for the best talent (which we are trying to do), we have to be able to match the wages on offer and we are not allowed to do that due to PSR.
