to be expected though when there's one spud and 2 scouse ****s on the sofa.

unless the fa change the rules they have so aggressively stuck by for years ie, if the ref has dealt with it, they cant intervene, then its a non event.

    move on.

    nobs.

Should be banned, the thug deliberately trying to do damage to someone by elbowing him in the head.

Barton has been calm off the pitch for a long time now. As well as being in less bad incidents then Rooney on the pitch. You know I'm right about the thug rooney.

Barton got what he deserved for the punch on Pedersen, Rooney should also get what he deserves which is a 3+ match ban.

Are you all actually defending Rooney? When Barton hit Pederson, we didn't defend him nor did we when Williamson headbutted Elmander. Both off the ball challenges, both punished... at least we admit when our players are in the wrong.

jordan are you defending that fat scouse?

I really hope the fa do justice to the game and give him a 4 game ban.

ref didn't act on the pedersen incident though, why is why he was punished.

ref punished rooney by giving a free kick. move on..nothing to see

Jordan take of your rose tinted glasses for ****s sake. That was blatant thuggery and any right minded football supporter would agree that he deserves at least a three match ban.

If you can't concede that then any argument you make on any football related subject loses all credibility!

He isn't saying he doesn't agree...
But he's right, the ref already dealt with it, so no further action can be taken, according to the league rules...

also, what does it say about nohl that he would rather see rooney punished and united weaker as a result.

Looks like someone knows what Rooney did was wrong and deserves a 3 match ban, but can't bare to debate it.

From the motd footage it showed that the ref was following the ball and didn't see the incident. He did then, however, see the Wigan playing bent over clutching his face and obviously in pain. He stopped play and dealt with that but there is nothing to indicate that he saw how the player was injured. Until the ref comes out and says he saw Rooney elbow the guy but decided it was fair(yeah fat chance) I wouldn't count your chickens!

We all no it was wrong,
But Jordan is stating that no further action can be taken by the FA because the ref already acknoledged the incident.
yet it appears the MOTD pundits are angling for a ban, which is against the rules....
