Just seems like you are choosing to be negative here. Barely even being fair with your comparisons. Kepa - Neto. Neto was cup tied so couldn't play 50% of the games we needed him for. Kepa is also an upgrade. Verdict: Kepa Zubi vs Partey. Parteys more physical. Zubi moves the ball a lot quicker. Better on the transition. Verdict: Draw Noordgard vs Jorginho. Noordgard is more physical. Jorginho was always solid though 50/50. Verdict: Draw Madueki replaces Sterling not Trossard. Huge upgrade IMO. Verdict: Madueki is clear (If Trossard leaves I expect Eze will come in) Gyokeres doesn't replace Jesus. Jesus is still in the squad. He missed four months last Season too. So in actual fact we are gaining a player here. Verdict: Gyokeres adds depth here. Mosquera replaces Tomiyasu who only had ONE game for us last Season. Again this is adding a player effectively. Verdict: Mosquera adds depth here. Then Nwaneri has a full year of experience and a second Pre-Season I expect him to play bigger part and Dowman almost takes up the 'Nwaneri role'.
We need to get back to 2022-2024 levels and i am concerned this squad isn't as good. I have pretty much discounted last year due to the injury crisis, so I am more comparing 22-24 TBH. I agree anyone half decent would be an upgrade on Jesus from last year - he hardly played. He won't play again this year till half way through the season - if he stays - so Gyokeres is replacing Jesus in reality. Our primary options up front are Havetrz and Gyokeres vs Havertz and Jesus. I would take a fit Jesus ahead of the big Swede, (though early days for Gyokeres)
