Didn’t know that Rangers had signed the winger Antman from Go Ahead Eagles who we were linked with quite a bit recently. Looks pretty good, and a missed opportunity.
Wasn’t he just something the fans cooked up because he plays in a position we are apparently after and is a talented player at one of the top premier league clubs who is prime for a loan as he won’t get a look in at his club Were there ever proper links ?
The website 'Football League World' claimed he was a target, but no actual journalists or reputable outlets followed suit or echoed that at any point
3rd choice this season? HIGHLY-RATED young goalkeeper Dylan Moody has signed his first professional contract with Saints, keeping him at the club until 2028. The 17 year old England youth international goalkeeper joined the club's Bath Development Centre at the age of eight and has risen through the academy ranks. Having played above his age group in recent seasons, Moody made his under-21s debut last campaign, whilst he also started in all four FA Youth Cup matches. Moody is the son of Rugby World Cup-winning England flanker Lewis Moody and has trained regularly with the first team. He was a part of the travelling squad on several occasions during last season's Premier League campaign, serving as the third goalkeeper when Joe Lumley was injured. The young shot-stopper was also present on this summer's pre-season trip to Girona with Will Still's senior squad, working closely with Rubén Martínez and the first team goalkeepers. After penning his first professional deal, Moody said: "It feels really surreal, I've been here since eight years old and now at 17 to sign my first pro it is an amazing feeling for me and my family who have supported me and helped me through the journey." Director of group talent strategy, Andy Goldie, added: "Having already played for the under-18s the previous year, Dylan built on this progress by making his under 21s debut and training regularly with the First Team at 17 years old last season. "He also continued to be called up for England ahead of this year’s World Cup. "Having already impressed Rubén during pre-season and earning his first professional contract, we look forward to supporting Dylan in achieving more milestones and objectives over the next three seasons.”
THIS is where I see the value in the SR model. 5 or 6 players ahead of him in the pecking order for Saints. Game time, help with future working visas etc and ideally help Valenciennes have a productive season which would bring benefits across the group.
But surely the multi club model is there to bankrupt us, divide the fans base and be the basis of meltdowns….??!!
