If it were the other way around, then the reports would be along the lines of:
"Newcastle fail to match Man United's bid"

**** this for a game of soldiers, just get Isak signed up on a new contract with a release clause that suits both parties - pay him whatever he wants, if someone really want's him they'll pay what it takes as he's worth his weight in gold as a goal scorer. Then get Wissa in as a replacement for Wilson - again pay what they want - £40m for a 20 goal a season striker is fair money, then a RCB and a young replacement for Longstaff (on a loan if needs be). If we can shift any squad/fringe players great but we need 3 more in the door asap.

After that forget about this window and start working on getting a recruitment team that's fit for purpose in place for next summer because it has been a cluster **** of a window.

They have won double the number of trophies you have in that time period despite all that.

No doubting that right this second Newcastle look more attractive but I think the gap of United getting to Newcastle’s level is much lower than Newcastle becoming title challengers if that makes sense.

They are offering another 15m on top, but in a brown paper bag that doesn't count towards FFP.

That's their first shot across the bows, that freelance tramp Radcliffe is currently looking at how many stewards, tea lady's and bar staff he can sack to try and fumble together an improved offer.

Might also come down to where his missus prefers to live. It shouldn't but it wouldn't be the first time !

We're now at a point in time where we're all hoping that he choses us over them just to **** them off and not because we actually want him to come (more down to the unknown factor).
