I’ve never seen any hate. Frustration that he’s constantly injured but never hate

    Well

    Rb, can't stay fit.
Lb. Too many yet neither option good.
    Rcb. Massive issue coming
    Lcb. Already no cover.
    6. An issue.
    9. I'd be happy to go with Ekitike and nunez.

I'd rather now spend those massive funds on the key positions of cb (2) and 6 after that than buy isak

Cost is 14mil, not pennies. But you are right he tried his best.

the issue is he can't run. That's about it.
Nothing else, seems a nice guy. Just can't play in the prem when you cant get moving and will be beaten to the ball.

On a brighter note he does look again like he's lost a bit of weight so he's trying his best.

He was a great player before his big injuries but right now he is a shadow of that and a player like ngumoha just shows what pace brings.

Im sure he will do well back in Italy as he's worked hard for that chance.

Not sure why you think neither lb option is good. Robbo is more than good enough. Hes had no real competition and had to play every game - as a rotation now it should allow him to be better without needing to play every week.

Why is 6 an issue? We have Grav as first choice - brilliant. Mac as 2nd choice - brilliant. Endo as a different destroyer option - great.

Szobbo my MoTM. That was the form he first showed two years ago. He seems to have his middle-distance-runner-like stamina back. And seeing him cover at RB pleases me to think he could also fill in at no6 if needed as well.

completely agree on CB’s - it needs fixing
I don’t disagree that a 6 would be welcome but I do think it can wait.
Imagine Isak in this team. (We’d still have the midfield 2 that win the league last season!

Yeah, but everyone likes nunez, well there's you and me, and his mum she's bound to like him. His missus presumably likes him, if he's got kids they must like him abit. So that's basically everyone

    Endo is too slow.
Macallister is not a 6 and is also on the dlwo side but not as slow as endo. The guy is wasted at 6.

Im greedy. I want macallister and szoboszlai fighting for one spot while gravenberch and someone really fight for 6.

As for tsimikas and robbo. Tsimikas is positionally terrible. Always has been. Robbo needs games to stay on top of his game and won't get them so imo he will look creaky.

You Got my reply on it and ignored it so I presume you've put me on ignore.

There's a very good reason for stating I'd take Ngumoha in a foreign slot over chiesa.

    yep. greedy <laugh>

Grav isn’t a specialist 6 either. So I’d definitely take one if we didn’t have other priorities. However, that would mean Grav on the bench, which would seem harsh, or pushed forward, which would mean Maca on the bench. I might be in a minority, but I feel that Maca was our most important player last year……there’s a reason why Madrid are sniffing around. So not THE priorities for me….these are: 1) CB(‘s) 2) #9 3) front 3 replacement if we sell all of out other attacking players (assumes Rio is still too young to play a major part but I hope he actually does)

Gravenberch can read where to be though. That's his levelling up difference.

He's pure class gliding on the ball but he positions himself brilliantly

I'd agree on 2 cbs and let go of one left full. Im not going to he controversial in saying neither child cb is anywhere near senior football. Lucky did ok, nice on the ball but he was not getting good position constantly as a defender. Nallo did ok but he needs to be decisive.

The forwards is one thats in our hands. Salah Ekitike gakpo is locked in. Wirtz is behind that and should be behind it.

The other 3 are currently nunez, ngumoha and chiesa so you can certainly improve on that (assumes doak is sold) if nunez goes then the isal stuff comes back up.

Isak needs to make his feelings known today. Howe certainly has (i think howe is looking to ensure isak gets the fan blame with his comments) if isak just wanders in and trains away then this transfer is not on. I'd be happy keep nunez and play Ekitike in that scenario.

Imo 5 players plus ngumoha should be our aim. But that could be a lot of players.

I really feel the engine room needs a player too. Jones doesn't cut it. Not when you've macallister and szoboszlai fighting for thst spot.

One more quality body and Endo going would be epic.

Gravenberch wasn’t a 6 either. Not in the traditional break up play wihh th tackles those. Hes developed that but Mac is also very good and tenacious in blocking lanes and making tackles in close quarters. Doesn’t have the legs to run around but lets be real Grav is going to play 35/38 games in the league this year as long as isn’t injured so only talking about Mac needing to play there a few games I highly doubt level comps. With Szobo also there providing legs midfield is probably as strong as it’s ever been now.

    6. Grav / Mac / Endo
    8. Mac / Szobo / Jones
    10. Wirtz / Szobo / Elliott

    With Nyoni looking for minutes

Yeah but gravenberch will be creaking by January if we do that. He needs competition and rest to be amazing when he plays.

This is what greed is. Give them all a challenge.

I'd rather leave macallister and szoboszlai fight for one spot

Let's wirtz be the guy and have szoboszlai put Elliott out of the picture (reality of what will happen)

They leaves endo chasing gravenberch and thats not really good enough. This move will happen next summer imo endo will leave.

Nyoni is after macallister/szoboszlai spot. Tough ask.

    Then Jones isn't even mentioned.

Midfield is where injuries should be expected tbh. Players willmget like except for endo.

That’s why endo and Mac can play there. Last year we only had szobo playing 10 so had no rotation for Mac or grav in those positions. This year szobo will be deeper meaning can rest Mac more or rest Grav more.

Spending 60m on another midfielder would literally be the very bottom of the to do pile given the amount of players we have and the versatility in the roles they can play. And you’re not spending 60m on a midfielder to leave him on bench for 75% of the games to just come in for Grav.

Yeah but you dont have to do that. You can't rotate more than that and get the same result but be far fresher at the end of season.

Nobody should be palying 80/90% of the time if you've genuinely 2 players in every position.
60-70% yes but you really want your best players flying when the real big game comes round.

Any injury and you want to still be capable on that big day.

We are not too bad though. It is my greed to see it as I really beleive 3 for 4 spots is good but I'd rather a genuine 4th option rather than Jones or endo. Especially at 6.

Hopefully we will get there before the team falls apart again. Lol.

The cbs and forward is obvious priority but if we solve cb then I'd be happy for forwards to remain as is if we got a cm.

Nah, i'm with you. I like him and think he could do a job up top if given the chance. He needs minutes, but won't get them with us.
