I think he’s a good punt. When he lost his place at Man U he hadn’t done anything wrong, he just got pushed out because Shawvhad come back for a few games and they signed someone else. I think he’ll be decent if the Jak2 can keep him on the straight and narrow.
He’s talking about 2 strikers through the middle, with 2 wingers supplying. I think we played 2 in the second half, or that’s what it looked like to me, with TSF & Burstow close together. I know we have the attacking midfielder as the second striker, but it doesn’t really feel the same as 2 out & out strikers. I also hate seeing players like Joseph or Burstow out on the wing in a “front 3” just to wedge them into the starting 11!
Make a few on here the look the same won’t it ? Two weeks ago we were going bust , selling everyone and couldn’t even loan anyone , what’s changed ?!
As it stands, I think many of us would like the EFL to keep a close eye on us. I think this window with all its tribulations was the wake up call ALL not just Acun needed. As it is, maybe just maybe it might be a really good one for us and has done us a favour.
So who else is to blame for the owner being unable to transfer funds to cover shortfalls signed off on by the owner other than the owner? Names please, or are you just brown-nosing now it looks like we're getting McBurnie?
I still have some concerns. We’ve replaced a couple of dependable centre backs with two with a slight dodgier injury record. Our midfield is still light imo and our two new wingers are both unproven at this level. Lundstram and McBurnie are both very decent signings. The new manager has made a very good start in pre season but we’ll see when the competitive stuff starts whether that carrys through. On paper weve done some good business but we’ll have to wait and see on some of it. I’m feeling much more positive than I was a few weeks ago - but I still think we should be cautious
See Moorewho we ‘wanted’ and couldn’t attract here has done so well at the Blunts he’s gone to Wrexham!
