I see that Wayne Rooney elbowed a player in the face off the ball during the Wigan game.

Barton's punch on Pederson within minutes was all over the internet and published on youtube with 30k views before the match had even ended, with people saying **** like "oh well i guess that ****ing thug hasn't changed then, he should be banned from football".

If Rooney doesn't get a 3 match ban, then it's clear that Alex Ferguson is sucking some FA cock. Oh wait... he's not Joey Barton, therefore no ban will be enforced.

Let's see if he even gets a 10th of the insults that Barton got.

According to Ferguson the referee saw it, therefore he can't get done, though that didn't stop Howard Webb lying and Williamson getting banned for 3 games.

 

It deserves to be a three match ban, but due to the hypocrisy of the FA I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't. So many times before has a player been involved in a vicious incident and the FA has done **** all about it. They're normally too scared to sanction Man Utd or one of their players, but I hope they prove me wrong.

 

Rooney is a very very lucky boy if he gets away with that.

There is a precedent with Ben Thatchers assault of the Pompey player mendez when the ref (gallagher I think) booked him for it,so he shouldn't have received any further punishment but the ref wrote to the FA and told them he'd made a mistake so thatcher got charged and a lengthy ban

Ferguson got in there first, in his interview after the game he insinuated because it was Rooney a big deal would be made of it. He more or less said it was nothing.
