I completely get this Chunk. I have always considered myself a very strong person and when each of my parents died, I had to stay strong for the family, sort the funerals, pay the bills and sell their house etc. I didn’t realise until years later that I hadn’t been able to mourn them and I suffered for it.
It's good to remember them, make sure you mourn appropriately and don't keep things locked away.

I try not to lock things away, but a few people have messaged lately that I really appreciate and its only right I share my thoughts.

You never know it might help someone else

I agree, although watching from afar I’m a little bit ashamed at how the police are being used by the current government to silence the public. But that’s a topic for another thread!

Very strange behaviours from both Hetty and the mods. I still post on there from time to time myself and didn't realise that was going on.

Sad that it has left you feeling that you have to leave RTG, particularly as you have always been a good poster and from those who have met you you also do a lot in the community and are a very genuine and kind person.

As others have said becs, its RTG's loss.

Stick around, doubtless you will be made very welcome by everyone here.

Ive known people who were on RTG from the start,

they've left for the same reasons,

said that a few mods have gotten ideas above their station, and its the same few runing everything.

    their loss is our gain,

I was the same. I used to find Hettonlass quite funny, like John Lambton discovering a daft little worm.

Its grown and grown, systematically targeting popular posters, stealing their most popular threads then positioning themselves in their place like a deranged cuckoo. I've never seen anything like it.

What saddens me is other posters using it to their advantage. There's been a huge uptick in snidey, manipulative posters since 'Hetty' launched its takeover bid.

    This is absolutely scandalous. Being forced from any board because of the actions of one person is disgraceful. I tend not to get involved in the 'politics' of board life because, largely, it doesn't interest me. However what I will say about RTG is;
    • All of the moderators need to be removed and a new set installed. This is based on the fact that everyone has a shelf life and the current set of moderators have outlived their usefulness and need to be replaced as some of them have long since ceased being impartial and allow their own favouritisms and prejudices to influence their thinking and moderating. There is one mod on there absolutely hates me, not that I give a damn, and prowls around looking for the lamest excuse to get the warning/ban hammer out. Footballers have a shelf life, as do politicians, company executives and pop stars to name but a few. Moderators ditto.
    • I flatly refuse to believe Hetton is a single person, it's a login shared by several members - there is no other way they can be on the board as much as they are. Which means if they say you trigger them @becs, then they're lying. But they're obviously part of the protected clique, along with a large number of others who do as they wish without comebacks.
    • The decent members of the board are being driven out in droves and it won't be long before the board reaches tipping point where only the members who spend their entire lives giving each other 'reach rounds' are left to their own devices, boo hoo.
Chin up @becs, you're better off away from there.
