In principle this is a good idea but the majority of the wealthiest "Brits" in 2025 are dual nationals, they will go to Israel, America or elsewhere with their money and if we try to clamp down on their assets here in the UK there can be international coordination against the country for appearing authoritarian. Major cuts to social welfare (get out what you pay in), gate keeping (read; protecting) the NHS and other services from people new to the country and even just mass deportations are ways to relieve stress on services, they're sadly seen as far-right nowadays though so it becomes very partisan quickly.

Sorry, not a fan of this guy at all, so won't be watching or trusting anything he says, consider him a left wing Paul Joseph Watson who talks about economics if you want to understand.

He openly states he’s not political. It’s about stopping the collapse of the economy. More fool you.
    What about Picketty?

    What about American millionaires

You can tax anyone who profits from British assets. Wherever they live. If we don’t, we won’t and up having any assets or any services that support those in need. Which side are you on? The billionaires consuming us all or a place of opportunity for all?

How about mass deportations AND taxing billionaires?

    :emoticon-0150-hands

Cross the bridge and make alliances, make concessions to find broad agreement?

Potentially lean into automation and AI, birth rate falling quickly perhaps a Britian of 25-30m could be the future, less reliance on mass immigration in order to keep GDP high and an inflation based economic structure?

I’d say hello Nigel but he wants to redistribute more to billionaires.

I’m definitely supportive of managing our borders/ incomers, for safety and manageability. Not sure where there’s a strong economic argument, just an ideological one. Economically it’s a piss in the ocean (for want of a better phrase) compared to the wealth from assets we’re giving to those who have disgusting amounts. Try the Duke of Westminster. A bigger % on him would fund north east youth provision for a hundred years.

Sure but I think the reason Farage is winning isn't due to economics, it's due to social/cultural issues. I feel like people don't even want to put economics on the table, until we get the table in order.

In some places where change is new or in certain groups I agree. Less so where different cultures are already embedded. Migration has landed in most places now because of the numbers.
It’s the classic though. ‘It’s their fault I’m hard up’ ‘not enough money to go on everyone so take it off the scapegoat’ ‘lack of services for us’ . The cost of living is a big factor in creating these conditions. Safety definitely another factor though and rightly it needs managing. I’d hardly say white British men are hot on creating personal safety either mind.
