Well for starters, several on here aren't Scouse - and even though I am I've always said I'm English too (with some Irish ancestry). It's not really an opinion, just a fact. Seems a rather childish attempt to find something to have a dig at.
I remember several Newkie fans giving it loads after the takeover - expecting to be on a par with City with their spending. I imagine they're a bit frustrated that it hasn't worked out quite the way they'd hoped, and they're looking to blame others rather than accept the fact that some fickle footballers just see other clubs as a bigger draw than them.

I grew up in England and I am English. My Dad is English (with some German ancestry). My mother is Hungarian but with mixed ancestry from Hungary /Romania/Germany... Although she moved to England as a child and is more English than average English woman.
