Since someone mentioned this on another thread and since pre-season is now over, I thought I might as well post this now. Despite seemingly being a shambles off the pitch, there are some encouraging signs on the pitch and as someone said on another thread SJ might be our best signing this window. Obviously there are lots of unknowns at this stage - and on top of the usual ones (who will we buy / sell this window or in Jan, injuries, suspensions, etc.) - we are still wondering what restrictions we will or will not be operating under this season. I was pretty pessimistic when the transfer restrictions were imposed on us, but after and encouraging pre-season, somewhat less so. It's a long season and I think lack of squad depth will be a problem at times. That said, and despite the conditions he is working under, I reckon SJ will lead us to a respectable finish of 17th place.
Went top half. Should have had a mid table option. I think we’ll finish 11th to 15th as things stand. Defensively solid not enough goals in the team.
17th. I just don't see what Oxford, Preston, Wednesday, Charlton, Portsmouth or Blackburn have that we don't.
